Sawatdee Ka Bangkok! (Day Two - PART TWO)

Caturday Cat Cafe
(4.5 Cocowalk Avenue Bangkok, Thailand 10400)

BEWARE OF MASSIVE CAT PHOTOS!
Meow~

Finally we arrived to my fav section! So excited even as I'm writing this out...hahaha. FYI I've never been to any cat cafe in my whole life. So this is my first experience! Can say that it's the main attraction that got me excited about the whole idea of visiting BKK. So much that I even drew something about it HERE prior to the trip.

So sorry that I can't get English version of the map. Perhaps you can get the people from the hotel lobby to translate them for you. Or just show them to the taxi driver. Not that hard to get there if you're staying anywhere near Platinum Mall.

Below is the map that I screenshot from Google Map (See the blue dots). Basically you just have to go straight from Platinum Mall till you find those BTS rail on top of you. That's where you turn left. Hope it helps!

At first it might seems like you're lost...Since by the time we got there was in the afternoon and the surrounding shops wasn't opened. Not sure if it's temporary or it was like that the entire time. There were people doing some cleaning on the shops though...but no worries as your Cat Cafe is there! We asked the guard there and eventually found our Caturday Cat Cafe!

Upon entering, you'll be washing your hand. I dunno why but I naturally followed what Jas did...hahaha. There goes her beautiful hand along with the cute cat tap.

There are numbers of cat cafe you can find in BKK. However I fell in love with this particular cat cafe right after Elie showed the web to me coz they applied illustrations! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE illustrations! Especially doodle-y type like the menu above~ Aren't they lovely?

Ordered a glass of Green Tea something something for myself...was it latte? *coughs* Seriously fell in love with their glass. Which I ended up buying and treasured it till nao. It has become the only glass that I use in my home...hehe. Plus it's affordable so I don't see any reason of not buying this cute stuff! Basically you can purchase their cups, mugs, coasters, bags, keychains, etc. To which the girls bought keychains and they're adorable too~

Red Velvet something something

Thai Tea Layer Cake

The cakes tasted pretty good according to the girls...didn't try any of them myself as I'm immersing in my own world stalking them cats here and there. Oh...the downside of moving around is that you can't protect your food from the lil cuties...So by the time I returned to my seat, I see numbers of furs on my green tea! _(:3 l < )_

No worries as it wouldn't hurt you at all...Maybe this is what all parents feel when their babies break their favourite glass vase or something. You can't blame them coz they're too precious to get mad at. Hmm!! Don't mind...don't mind! So yeah...take care of your food and drinks if you intend to enjoy them...hehe.

I think from these pictures it's obvious on which is taken using my normal cam, handphone and DSLR. Ok...here comes the interior and what you all wanna see...CATS!~

"You mad, bro?"

"Ain't no time foolin' with the likes of you...Get off my sight..."

"Look only at me humans..."

Cat A: "Wonder what's for dinner..."
Cat B: "Heard that it'll be something that comes out off a metal can"

Such coincidence to be there during product photoshoot. I think this one is their mascot. The fat cat with a bow tie...hehe. Cute lil one!

Ended it with my fav cat! The plain one with angel's wing patch on his back...HAHAHA! Do visit this place if you're visiting BKK. Their cats are adorable, fluffeeeh and clean! Just looking at them can improve your mood. A little if not much.

Sawatdee Ka Bangkok! (Day Two - PART ONE)

Beloved Meiji Milk

Can't help but to post this milk...Like I said in previous blog post, I love this milk. Indeed this is the one I bought the day before. Drank it in the morning before we went for breakfast. Milk lovers, please do give this Meiji Milk a try ok!

SabX2 Wanton Noodles
(4/32-33 Soi Petchburi 19 | Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand)

It is recommended to come here as early as you can. Or else you'll have to face the consequences of long queue! Definitely a no no when you have empty hungry stomach...hahaha. In fact we're pretty lucky on that day as there's only 8-10 people in front of our queue.

I noticed that there's quite a number of chinese words around here and there in BKK. I assume lots of Chinese tourist often come to BKK. It's a plus for you all who can read Chinese! I have Elie and Jas who happened to be fluent in Chinese la...so I'm pretty lucky...hahaha!

PORK!!! Pretty decent pork! I've tasted something better elsewhere so I'm not gonna talk much about this dish. The texture itself is soft. Don't have to chew so much plus there's a GENEROUS amounts of the fatty part! If you enjoy eating them fats then you will appreciate it.

Heard from Elie and Jas that many tourist came here for its Wantan Noodles! For me it was err...OK lor! Pretty normal. In fact, I find this dish quite cute! Coz everything is so tiny and above all it was placed on a big bowl! Everything about it making me feel like a full fledged woman. Femininity +1!

Our Elie bought this fried dessert on our way to Platinum Mall. Can't find the name of this. I'm guessing that this is Koa Neiw Ping Choup Kai (Sticky Rice Egg Cakes). It's the closest one I can think of. HAHAHA! Basically it's sticky rice dipped in eggs and grilled. Taste? Crispy and salty!

Again Elie the great tried the street's Thai Milk Tea. Thanks to her that I get to see how it was done. Experimented what I saw back in Jakarta and it tasted pretty close to the one in BKK. Whee!! Knowledge +1! One of the treasure that I got back from visiting BKK. Tee hee!

Platinum Fashion Mall
(222 Petchburi Road, Bangkok, Thailand)

If you've been reading blogs here and there about BKK, I'm sure this one is no stranger! If KL have Sungai Wang, Jakarta have Mangga Dua Mall, then BKK have Platinum Mall! This three is pretty similar as in the mall are filled with many small shops inside selling various things. Everything as in everything...YES! Decorations, accessories, fashion related items and such.

Heard that you can get discount if you buy more than one (alot would be the better word) and pro at haggling. Unfortunately this wasn't the case with us three girls as we are haggling noob. Plus with our face brimming with "eternal youth", we have no chance winning against them pro seller...HAHAHA!

The two pairs of earrings above were the first two items that I bought there on that day. I was thrilled to find the earring on top as it was the first time for me to see that type of earring. I feel that it was unique and I fell in love with it right away. On the other hand, I find the ring below to be classic and alluring. So I bought the two of them at a decent price ranging from THB 150 - 280. Can't remember the exact amount. But it's around that range depending on your choice of earrings. Below is the example of it when being worn. Love it!!

Specially took this pic coz I love how playful the person who did this! This ridiculous thing did managed to take our attention as we passed by the shop.

Last but not least, here comes Elie! The writer of Never Ever Sober. Do say hi to her on her blog! Till we meet again in next post! Ciao!

Cranky Crab

Initially planned to go for Korean BBQ for le Birthday Dinner. It falls between Chung Gi Wa, Bornga, or the Korean BBQ restaurant that le Bro's Korean Boss usually go to. Heard that the client there mostly Koreans. So I assume the food there must be similar to the one in their home country. So kinda curious. Coz seriously I don't think that I'm going to Korea anytime soon...*sobs*

However...

Ended up in a seafood place instead. The reason is simply because none of us ever been to this seafood place called "Cranky Crab". This one is kind of the cheaper version of Cut The Crab. Never been there either coz I am not that willing that say goodbye to 700++ for crabs. Unless it's for the infamous Hokkaido Crab or something.

The menu
(Took them off their web...y u so pixelated?)

Inside, there's 2 menu placed on your table. One menu similar to those you'd find anywhere in seafood restaurants. And another is the one above. The one we go for today was this. Ordered Mix Bag 2 coz somebody said that he don't want to eat crayfish. Plus I am not that cray over crayfish...so we went for Mix Bag 2 instead. And of course...my crab!! Takkan you go to crab restaurant and don't order their crab right? Especially on your first time! So must order whatever you want to try the most! *coughs*

What you wear while eating
(Quite embarrassing but everyone wore it...so yeah...thicken your skin bah!)

Mango Peach Fruit Tea
IDR 32k

Ordered this drink and I'm LOVING it! it's DELICIOUS! Not too sweet and not to bland. You can feel the peach more than the mango but overall this is pretty good. Price wise quite too expensive for a fruit tea. Unless it's from fresh fruit la...then maybe it'd be understandable.

CRANKY FLYING BEER - Citrus Mojito
IDR 45k

This one is one of the eye-catching drink you can find in their menu! Pretty tasty! Suitable for those who love their alcohol sweet! Kinda reminds me of Absolute vodka plus coke. But this one is like flavoured beer. I love the presentation too...something new for me. *blush*

Mix Bag 2 | Asian Addict Sauce | Medium Level Spiciness
IDR 119k

I have no idea how do food bloggers take such nice pictures! Must be they have a LOT of dedication and pride in what they do. As for me, le S4 camera is more than enough...HAHAHA! Result is as seen above...OTL

Previously I bought my DSLR to a restaurant and I find it troublesome to carry them huge heavy cameras with me here and there (Since it was during a trip and I have to carry it with me the entire time...from morning till the journey ended). Trust me it was awful! Shoulder pain much! LOL! But honestly, pictures taken on that day was the most rewarding one...hahaha.

ANYWAYYYY...

Food arrived pretty fast in my opinion. To which I wonder if they have cooked the food earlier and just reheat them to serve. They come in a plastic bag (food plastic bag...not the plastic bag you get from supermarket...lol). Quite interesting coz it's my first time la seeing this kind of thing.

Basically they let you choose whether to serve your food on plates or right onto the table (wrapped with disposable "table mat"). Chose the latter coz never try...Excuse my sua ku-ness.

The food in real life is pretty much like the one you see above. Plus the fine steam which my phone cam can't seem to capture them. Hahaha...Quite vomit look-a-alike la in my opinion. With all the many items all jumbled up at once and the sauce!! Similar to satay sauce~

My concern on that day was the sausages. Was wondering if you guys do actually tear off the plastic casing on your sausages or not? Coz I think I saw them plastics on the sausages. So I ended up de-skinning and eat only the inner part. Taste wise it was ok...Not as great as I imagined it to be.

CRAB | Medium | Black Pepper Sauce
IDR 255k

YAY! Finally the crab is here! It was bigger than expected~ The meat is goooooood too! Reminds me of the crab that dad's god sister send us yearly...lol. Definitely this is my pick of the day. Not to forget that the sauce is unique. There's something more than just black peppers. The sauce was pretty coarse (in a good way) and was it shrimp's shell that I taste? or was it smashed lemongrass? I can't decide. My tongue tasting skill still have a long way to go. Can give it a try la.

Complimentary Ice Cream

FREE ice cream when you post pictures on Instagram. Was surprised with the generous amount of ice cream served. Usually restaurants only give one scoop...so this one is considered alotttt in my opinion. Too much till I took my own sweet time finishing it. Coz kinda feel guilty if I didn't finish it after people give much...lol.

Interior 1

Interior 2

The one we went to was quite plain in terms of the interior design. The one on the left side is much more interesting. But I guess that's the smoking area. They have more catchy lighting la. So if you don't mind smokes you can go there and enjoy a much better ambiance.

Something random I just thought of...it's quite fun to go here when you're angry or something...Coz you can smack that crabs all you want ala Thor's hammer...LOLOLOL!

Rice was sold at IDR 6k and there's Service Charge plus 10% Tax. Service charge is around half of the tax price if not mistaken. Total damage done was around IDR 534k.

If you like crab...seafood...or maybe just wanna play with that "Thor's hammer", feel free to give it a try. *winks*
