Year End Addiction

Since it's Christmas and I'm aloney at my home watching anime, I thought that I'd blog on something random. So anyone watched Running Man?? It's been out there for years already but as usual I'm being slow and just gotten the chance to watch them this year.

It all started when Dreamie gave me a link to Running Man epi 163 starring my fav Big Bang. Unfortunately, my internet modem was still under maintenance for many months so I don't have the chance to watch it yet. Until the month of November where I found out that my x-intern, Natasha have a few episodes of Running Man with her. So one day she came to visit the office to hand me the two episodes which have Big Bang as guest. And since I have no internet for many months and don't really have anything to watch during my free time at home, so I copied the all of the Running Man episode she have.

Sure enough I got addicted and asked her if she have more than what she have. If not mistaken she have like...from episode 80++ to 100++ ish?? So there's the beginning part missing! However it turned out that my other intern, Candy has all of them!! Miracle much! That's how I got all the episodes with me...all thanks to these two beautiful ladies!

Basically it's something like Family outing...so was it a reality show? hmm I don't know what's the genre. This show mainly about the people playing games and finishing mission. Doh...I'm bad at explaining things! Anyway....they have like 8 main charas running the show...each with their own unique characters! Though later Joong Ki left coz he have filmings (Something liddat...I forgot which epi mentioned this...it's the epi where they all went to Haha's house...LOL!)

YOO JAE SUK
(Grashopper, Yoomes Bond, Yoo Hyuk, Yoorus Willis)

Seriously I'm in love with Jae Suk ahjussi! He's mad funny and never fails to bring laughter to me! He's really entertaining and his trandmark ass pose is epic much!

KIM JONG KOOK
(Commander, Sparta Kook, Tiger, Kook-ie)

When it's strength you're talking about, then it's Kim Jong Kook! Most of the time, the team who have him in the group tend to win...LOL! Power much! Later on this show he tend to let his aegyo side came out and even his name tag turned into Kook-ie! HAHAHA!

To much of my surprise, he's a singer too...Most of the time this shows plays "Loveable" in which you can watch in youtube. Not bad I'd say. Catchy tunes!

JI SUK JIN
(Jae Suk's Sunflower, Big Nose Hyung, Impala)

Things I like about him would be his expressions! Very lebih and I like it ok! HAHAHA! Especially his epic "Oooosaaa" and that add on blush effect whenever he look at woman. Somehow it's cute!

SONG JI HYO
(Ace Ji Hyo, Miss Mong (Blank), Monday Couple w/ Gary)

The only female in Running Man. Except when there's female guest. She's so pretty and I love the Monday Couple starring her and Kang Gary!

KANG GARY
(Gaecholas Cage, Peaceful Gary, Monday Couple)

Other than being Monday couple, I also like his calm expression! Especially in the beginning of Running Man where they have photo competition. My stomach hurts so much from laughing at those epic pictures he produced...Here's the photo...LOL!

Apart from that, he produced some really nice songs too under the name of Leessang! Here's some of the song of his that I like!

Ha Dong Hoon a.k.a HAHA
(Haroro, Harrad Pitt)

The cutest chara with kid concept? It's fun to watch him in every episode coz it's always so refreshing to see him acting cute all the way. Apparently he's a singer too under the name Skull & Haha.

SONG JOONG KI
(Flower Joong Ki, Brain Joong Ki)

Same age with Gwang Soo, he's often visualized as the smartest among the member! I first knew him from the drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal. He's really good in that drama! Too bad he left this show pretty early. Wish to see him again in the later episodes!

LEE GWANG SOO
(Giraffe)

He's also the tallest and most pitiful among the members. I lol-ed hard at his epic "framing" in the early episodes on Ji Hyo. Especially the one about drinking. Love his dramatic expressions too~

Last but not least, here comes my fav scene of Monday Couple from earlier episodes of Running Man.

MONDAY COUPLE ON EPI 10

MONDAY COUPLE ON EPI 11

Always looking forward to their Monday Couple scenes on every episodes. But seems like it ended in the later episodes? Coz the first episodes of Running Man that I watched was epi 163. It looked like they've "break up" on those later episodes. Too bad...I really enjoy looking at them together!

And oh...while watching the episodes with CNBLUE's Yong Hwa, somehow it reminds me of Jasmine. Told her too on LINE but somehow I need pictures to show the resemblance and here it is...LOL! I think she has met her male doppelganger already!

Yong Hwa (Left) Jasmine (Right)

Last but not least, Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone is happy and have a great Christmas celebration with family, friends and loved ones! I, for myself can't wait for next week coz I'm gonna have a week holiday! So mad happy coz it's been a long time since I enjoy long holiday. Am looking forward to the day I can fully detach myself from stress and work...LOL.

Sept and Oct Randoms!

Just a lil bit update on my side~
Since all of my energy were drained at work.
Most of the time I'd be too lazy to blog.
But I'll try my best anyway...

For Dreamie's Birthday

For the month of September,
I made this plate deco for a friend of mine.

Yes...I think I failed teribbly on the face drawing!
But it's my 1st try doing these...
Done only with choco paste and plastic!
So it's pretty good I guess? No? LOL!

Only sent her the image since I wasn't on the same island as her...
*sobs* hopefully one day can celeb with her face to face!

For Bro's Bday!

As for the month of Oct,
bought a cake from Tous les Jours.
Always thought that the cake there is so pretty.

So yeah...bought it and am satisfied with the look, packaging and service.
They incl. plastic knife, candles and even matches ok!
Love how they're considerate enough to include matches!
Some more it's pink and huge!
So cute!

Taste wise it's pretty good.
Just that the cream is too much for me.
Just put some aside and it'll do!
Give it a try~

As for my hobby improvement,
I don't think there's much improvement happened.
More like I'm getting that slumps...
Art block??

30 Sept 2013

20 Oct 2013

As you can see,
it changes a lot of times,
and I procrastinate ALOT!

Hopefully I can draw till finish soon~
I miss the feeling of being able to improve and finish an artwork.

The feeling of being able to improve,
even if it's just a lil bit,
it's so intoxicating!

So for every weakness we have,
that can be improved,
somehow,
it's kind of a blessing.

Coz from those "lack",
we are able to experience the beauty of "improvements"!

So yeah...embrace your weakness nao and turn it into something awesome!
Ciao~

Weak Heart...LOL!

Wasn't really a fan of horror or ghost movies...
But somehow it always happens that I have friends who are afraid of it but still wanted to watch it.
And apparently I fall under those type of people too...

But as I aged...
I've stopped wanting to watch them coz of my weak heart!
Can say that my imagination are too bewildering that just by watching,
my brain can project lots of scenes that can happen in my RL!
So yeah...tried my best to avoid watching them...

The worst one watched was "Dark Water" coz there's alot toilet scenes!!!
And nobody can live without going into one within a day...so yeah...
it was the worst...

Back then I even find it hard to take a shower coz I'd imagine hand grabbing my head or such...
And that they'll appear under my blanket...*classic*
Or even not wanting to go into a bathtub coz there would be hairs on the bathtub...
and that something would appear soon after some sound effects!
LOLOLOLOL...

So can say that movie made the most effect on me lar.
Compared to Ju On, The Tale of Two Sisters and such...

However I've seen alot of people talking about "The Conjuring" in FB.
It sparks my curiosity in which later I decided to give it a try.
Watching it alone too coz bro doesn't want to...*sobs*

Surprisingly it wasn't as scary as I'd imagined.
Can say that it's touching!!!
Especially towards the end...
Where the mom have those flashback on her family members.
That scene which didn't last that long almost wet my eyes.
Warm families are the best aren't they!
Mad respect the wife of the main char!
She's so kind...
Plus she's willing to sacrifice herself to help others~
Love her for that!

Nevertheless I won't deny that certain scenes do shock me.
Especially those sudden appearance!
HAHAHAHA!!!
I won't lie...I am seriously bad with surprises and sound effects!

But as long as you look at it much often and longer...
It wasn't that bad I guess...
Still wasn't scary as Dark Water so it's ok!

Passing by to say Hello!

Yohooooo!! What's up everyone? Doing good I believe?

As for myself...I had a great 2 weeks of Raya Holiday (From 4th of August till 18th of August). I, myself didn't expect it to be that long since usually other companies only gives like...what?...2 days of holiday at most?? So I find myself to be pretty lucky lar...haha.

Not gonna post heavy stuffs just yet since my main line is still under maintenance and I'm surviving on this temporary line who is an ace at being a slowpoke...So yeah...bear with me!

Instead I'm gonna share you this videos which I've just watched a while ago...hehe. Enjoy!

Schwarzkopf's Freshlight Berry Ash

The last time I've dyed my hair was a long time ago. Sometime before graduation I believe (I think it's the year 2010?). I remembered that I was using Liese's Chestnut Brown color. Tried other brand too back then but my hair color didn't even change for a bit. So I was very pleased when I gave Liese a try and it successfully changed the color of my hair.

Tried looking for Liese at the nearby stores but so far I found none. It's easy to find 'em on shops like Guardian or Jusco in M'sia but it sure hard to find 'em in Jakarta. Of course I found 'em on online shops along with Palty (the brand that I've always wanted to try coz of Masuwaka Tsubasa) but it's a PO so I was being reluctant about it. Most prob will be asking le bro to help me get Palty when he goes to Singapore in few months time.

Trying to find a decent hair dye that would dye my hair effectively beside Liese, I went around supermarkets, Guardian and Watsons nearby my house. And that's how I found Schwarzkopf Freshlight series (Anyone knows how to pronounce that word? I find it difficult...haha). So far this is the brand that attracts my eye. It has Blythe as the model of the box. Not that I'm a fan of Blythe nor Barbie's...but at least this packaging is the most eye catching and "different" compared to the others...hehe. (I'm a sucker when it comes to beautiful packaging!)

Front packaging

To be safe, I searched for reviews with the help of uncle Google prior to purchasing as I didn't want to waste my money on something that wouldn't work at all. Seen okok reviews...They said that it does change the color of their hair but it didn't last long...

The word "didn't last long" made me quite reluctant about it as...Hey! Why would I have to spend quite a sum on something that would only last for a few days? I'm not that glamour till I'll change my hair color every now and then. LOL. But I give it a deep thought...Like what if that happens to different people differently?

Coz previously I was so happy about Liese that I told my bro to use them too but the outcome was bad as it didn't manage to change the color of his hair. TROLOLOL!

That's why I came to a conclusion that perhaps I can try this Freshlight. No harm to try I thought. Also I found out that they're having this "Miss Freshlight" event where you have to  take a pic with the box and pose as similar as the Blythe doll on the packaging. The one with the most votes and based on the judge's decision get to win some stuffs. So yeah! Off to purchase the hair dye! Bought them at Lotte Mart Kelapa Gading for IDR 105k.

 What's inside

It's pretty easy to use this as it comes in foam form. It's less hassle too as it didn't drip that much. Pretty much the same as Liese's. Love how it's easy and manage to color my hair evenly.

 Le hair colour before coloring

Can't see my before hair color that much from this pic. But it's darkkkk brown with flash or without flash. And the hair color isn't that even as I have new born hair along with the leftover from Liese's Chestnut brown back then.

After coloring

To be honest I was quite shocked while rinsing my hair after the 30-minutes of wait as my hair was still the same color as before I color my hair. But I was happy after drying my hair coz that's when the color appears!

As you can see above, the color of my hair without flash was quite similar with what's shown on the top box. The colours are pretty but I guess I was mistaken to think that the word ash leads to a grey-ish color as I think instead of grey it has that orange hue to it like what you can see the pic with flash...LOL. But overall it's ok and worth using this brand again!

Le hair with flash - On the 9th day after coloring

In fact the color are still visible until today. And perhaps even brighter...LOL. Pls excuse that huge acne on my chin as I'm too lazy to touch up my skin.

Me inside the box (with acne chin removed...LOL!)

Last but not least the last photo to end today's post. Intended to upload this one for the photo event on Freshlight Indonesia FB. However it keeps giving me that "internal error" two days in a row...Thought that changing the photo into various of sizes would change the outcome...But nah...Not even changing PC to Mac nor internet connection made a difference...LOL. So I guess I wasn't to enter this event...FML!

Err...ok la...Not as if I enter sure win...so it's ok. It's just that recently I told myself to work hard for whatever I want and not to give up before giving it a try...So I was really hoping to join you see...But this time even the internet and pc doesn't support me enough...hmm...fine! Hehe.

New Lappie a.k.a Toshiba Satellite P840!

So finally...like FINALLY...after all the dissatisfaction towards my lappie which lasted for almost a year and plus, I managed to get myself a new lappie! *throws confetti* It took me long enough...About 7-8 months of saving. Which means home cooking for the whole weekdays and only splurge my money during weekends. That was hard but it's worth the price...haha.

To put things short...My old Toshiba laptop (Toshiba Satellite L100) who have served me since 2007 was unable to cope with the current softwares and such. Therefore I had to buy a new one in order to be able to play the games I wanted to play and of course to support my drawing apps such as Adobe Photoshop, etc.

Planned to get Alienware coz I thought that it's strong and definitely a good buy. But apparently it was way over my budget of 10k...LOL. At first I thought 15k was enough. In which I think I still can strive to buy. But deletes my wants right away after finding out the series that I am interested in starts at 18k? It's just too much a number for me who isn't a pro gamers who earns money through playing games using high end laptops. So yeah...it's a no no. Unless if I am a pro gamers...then perhaps it's a yes...

Somehow it made things easier though...I mean it only leaves me to one choice. Some people are telling me to get a Mac. But after changing job and am using Mac for the past few months...I am certain that I am not getting a Mac. Of course I can't deny that I really LOVE the screen. Images looks so amazing on Mac's screen. Even I can't stop looking at my own artworks or my selcas on Mac. What more with the new retina display...I think it'll be more awesome. But after giving it a thought...it's still a no. Considering that I just want a lappie which can play the games I wanted, for drawing purpose, to watch dramas and animes.

Plus if it's good in my screen, it might not be what others sees in their screen. So might as well having somewhat similar with others. In order that what I see would be somewhat similar with what other sees...hehe. So yeah...it comes down to my 1st choice of all. Toshiba.

Prior to my experience with my first laptop which is Toshiba Satellite L100, I can say that I am a proud owner. My old lappie never fails in serving me ever since 2007 up to 30th April 2013. Except for that one time where there's problem with the screen which costs me RM600 to replace it with a new screen. Yet I think it's awesome enough to be living properly for 5 years plus and only broken down once. This first hand experience itself has lead me wanting to own my second Toshiba.

Planned to own Toshiba Satellite P850 due to it's bigger screen and equipped with i7. However it's a few k away from my budget. So I came down with the 2nd choice which is Toshiba Satellite P840 who is cheaper by a few k and it's pretty similar to P850 but with smaller screen and only has i5. In case you wanted to know the specs, you can click HERE.

Right side of the lappie

Would surely appreciate another USB port since my old lappie has 4 of them. 3 is kinda too little for me since I kinda need 4. One for my cooler, another for my internet USB, my external HD and another one for my wacom. But it's ok since I can always buy external USB hub. But till nao still didn't manage to buy one since I am too lazy to move around...LOL. So mostly I just plug out my external hardisk in order to get my wacom plugged in. Hahaha. (Update: Bought 4-port hub d!)

Harman Kardon® speakers, enhanced by SRS® Premium Sound 3D™

One of the highlighted feature was this Harman Kardon speakers. Didn't know much bout speakers other than Altec Lansing. So I can give no answer if this is good or not. But definitely the sound is GOOD compared to my old lappie. But old lappie speaker have no brand...so yeah...LOL! To put it short it does gives a pretty decent sound. Just don't go and compare to real speakers (external ones) to internal ones.

Some hidden card reader

Didn't notice this till I actually read some reviews on this lappie. And I rarely use card reader...so it's not that important to know of its existence...Hmm...Sorry card reader...Bet someone else would appreciate you more than I do.

Fingerprint Reader

LOL...this one is a plus since I didn't knew of its existence as much as the "hidden card reader". I think I haven't mention this before...But I honestly haven't seen any P850 or P840 before I purchased one. I just researched the lappie that I interested in through internet with the help of uncle Google. Then after I finalize I ordered it online. So when I did unbox and found this finger scanning thingy I was pretty excited since back in 2007 I was mesmerized by Moi Moi's white Toshiba lappie which have this function as well. It's pretty good if you're too lazy to type in your password to get in. Haha...Perhaps next time we'll get something more futuristic like eye scanning or face recognition thingy? Who knows...I think we already have this...Or maybe at the moment they only existed is futuristic movies only.

Top view on the keyboard

Seriously I am really really disappointed with the touch pad as it is NOT sensitive where it keeps giving me the wrong response and secondly, it's noisy when clicked! The touch pad on my old L100 was much much MORE more a winner compared to this fail touch pad...Most of the time I turn this touch pad off coz it just gets to my nerve each time I am using it. Shall only be using this during emergency...such as when my mouse die...LOL. But other than that...touchpad...u're good to be asleep!

Keyboard in the dark

This is one of the awesome thing which comes with P840. LOL! Isn't it cool? Almost reminds me of Alienware's keyboard. Of coz in Alienware you can go and change its colour to suit your preference where else you can't do that with P840. However I think it's awesome enough considering the price and all...Not bad I would say. Not that it's so much of a help in the dark since I think I remembered most of the frequent keys used frequently. But yeah...they sure looks good aesthetically...haha.

CTRL + ALT + Z far far away

If I must state out my agony it would be these keys who are so far away from each other. In my previous lappie, they're close to each other and Z key's right end was just above ALT's left end. As someone who plays with Photoshop alot, these 3 are my most frequent used keys and nao it's so hard to press them. Somehao it reminds me of my piano class back then where I have to stretch my fingers. Guess I'd have to familiarize my fingers to these new placement...*sobs*

Directional keys are shorties!

Another disappointment bout this lappie would be the directional keys. At first glance the keys on the keyboard does look appropriate and beautiful. Yet after I played some games which requires the use of directional keys alot, somehao I ish not happy with the directional key's size. In my previous L100, they close to each other and the height is taller than this. If I can be picky (though I am aware this wouldn't make the key to grow taller magically....but...) I would love for the size to be similar with my old keyboard...Say W: 1.5 cm and H: 1.3 cm? That would be awesome!

Oh...as for tactile...it's good. You just have to use normal pressure to get the keys to read what you're typing. No complaint on this one. Except for my left directional key and "B" which I think less sensitive compared to the other keys. Or maybe it's my finger position that doesn't press right in the middle of the key...Does that affects the sensitivity? I dunno.

Also these keys are in black colours which I appreciate and it's not slippery...hehe.

Texture

Gotta love the brushed aluminium look on this lappie. Pro looking and smooth on the hand. It does get hot on the right side after using the lappie for some hours. But not too hot so it's still bearable. I assume the machine is located on the right side. Unlike my old lappie who gets hot on the left. Haha.

On a side note, I was wondering why there's no NVIDIA graphic card sticker sticked on the left part. Coz I see that usually lappie have them on the left part...Somehao my P840 have less stickers on it...Not that it matters much as it clearly does not affect the performance...Just saying the random stuff that passed through my brain...LOL.

Front shot

One last photo on Toshi-san

Another random stuff...I decided to call this lappie Toshi. Since it's name is Toshiba...But Toshi sounds cuter and it reminds me of Shinsengumi's Hijikata Toshizo (who appeared in the anime Gintama and Hakuouki as Hijikata Toushirou). So yep...it's settled...Its a He! Hahaha.

Ok back on the webcam, you can choose between 0.1 MP, 0.3 MP, 0.9 MP, 1.0 MP and 2.1 MP. Not that clear but sufficient enough to let people see your face...Hmm...On a bright side...they can't see your pimples! How good is that? LOLL!

For more informative and formal kind of review you can check out these two website which I read before I purchase this lappie HERE and HERE. They wrote better than I do! Their pictures clearly better too...FML.

Closer view on the texture of the laptop bag

As I said somewhere within this post, I got mine purchased through phone and got it delivered to my house. It's convenient as I am too lazy to go to Mangga Dua to get my lappie. Hahaha. The person who delivered me the lappie was nice too! Plus I thought that they're going to postpone the day to deliver the lappie coz it rained so heavily so suddenly that night. But no...they still deliver the lappie to me on the date said. What impressed me more would be on how good they protect the box that it didn't get wet at all despite the fact that the man who deliver them to me drives motorcycle.

And guess what...to my joy it was delivered to me on 1st of May! *plays "First of May" song by Olivia Ong"* LOL...what a nice timing I thought.

Btw I got mine here in case you're interested to buy a new lappie and such but am clueless on where to buy or too lazy to do research...And at the same time this is my way of giving thanks for their nice service. Hehe.

UPDATE: Adobe's CS5 are compatible with Windows 8. In case if you're wondering about this like I do before deciding to go with Windows 8. Been using Photoshop CS5 for quite some time and it works perfectly. And it seems like Flash Pro is working as well. Haven't really try to play with it yet...But I've tried clicking and it's opened...so I don't think there's problem with it. Unlike what I used to fear coz I've read somewhere that it's not compatible with Windows 8...(Or was it flash player? LOL)
