[J-DRAMA] From Five to Nine

Looking for romance drama? Then I'd recommend a J-Drama which was based on the manga series written by Aihara Miki Sensei. It is called...

From Five to Nine
5-ji Kara 9-ji Made: Watashi ni Koi Shita Obōsan

As seen from the image above, we have Yamashita Tomohisa a.k.a Yamapi (山下 智久) and Satomi Ishihara (石原 さとみ) as the main lead. The story talks about the love journey between Sakuraba Junko, an English teacher who dream of working in New York and Hoshikawa Takane, a Buddhist Priest who's going to inherit the family temple as the Head Priest (I read somewhere that Priest is the better words to use here instead of a monk...Google about it if you're interested to know more)

So apparently Buddhist Priest in Japan are allowed to get married, eat meat and such. Heard that it began in the early Meiji period. Hmm...something about temple were passed by head of the families to their son for generations to they need successor and the only way to get a successor is by marriage...soooooo....yeah!

But I'm not 100% sure either. Maybe I'll Google about them later...hehe. It's something new to me since it's always embedded in my mind that monks were supposed to be away from worldly pleasures. So maybe that's why Priest is the more appropriate word since priest are allowed to get married. Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

So does it differ from the manga? There's some changes done here and there...but nevertheless I still love the storyline. Minus how Takane locked up Junko. That is just so wrong no matter how much you like someone. And OH! This drama is age safe compared to the manga version. No sexy scene like what appeared in the manga. Except for Yamapi's waterfall scene and lying on the bed scene half naked if you considered these as sexy...LOLOLOLOL!

Her imagination...What's with the words! LOLOLOLOL!!!

Apart from that, everything was ok. Love the acting, love the comedy injected into the drama and I LOVE LOVE LOVE their choice of actor and actress!! Thank you whoever you are! For awhile I thought that I've seen the actress somewhere before and I was right on that as I've seen her as Hanji in Attack of Titan. Personally I love her in this drama ALOT compared to when she's in AOT! She look so beautiful inside this drama! And I just loveeeeee all her working wardrobe! So otona! Her hair looks pretty too!! Not to forget that Yamapi look so good in traditional clothing! HAHAHA~

Looking at the image above I can't help but to think of the reason for why the bottles were put inside the bathtub. What I can come out with is that they are used to elevate the water level. That way you get to raise the water level with less amount of water which is equal to saving money! Might seem like an unnecessary things to think about...but I just can't help to be intrigues me! There's so many things I didn't know about Japan and I'd love to know more! *happy

Do watch this drama! So much fun and entertaining! Not to forget that there's a lot of funny scenes where you'll ended up laughing like kambing...HAHAHA! Besides there's only 10 episodes and I think it ended nicely with that much episodes! Not too draggy and not too fast in terms of development...

And by the way, Merry Christmas everyone! Am ending this post with this drama's OST! It has become one of my fav song! So much feel! Love the songs and the lyrics as well! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Enjoy! :D
